Hi Sean and Jim Here is update for the top gasket 0001302:0007714 ALT and Inkel will add this sponge(10x150x1mm, Qty:3 pcs ) for 2nd MP. and here is drawings. Please proceed Foxconn P/N process and let me know the problems. Thanks SON |
Hi SH Son, OK, I will apply Foxconn P/N ASAP. Thanks Jim |
Hi SH Son, The sponge dimension in the drawing is 10x100x1xmm, please help to confirm. Thanks Jim |
Hi SH, Please help to check the housing tolerance with INKEL. And our factory proposes that the sizes were NG from DVT1 to DVT3, so please update the drawings. Otherwise, can you update the housing artwork and color for incoming material inspection? Thanks Jim |
Hi SH Son, 0001308:0007756 The sponge(10x150x1mm, Qty:3 pcs ) Foxconn P/N is 484.00492.005LT. Thanks Jim |

Hi Sean and Jim Here is sealing adhesive for holder mic drawings. Please proceed Foxconn P/N process ASAP - control run + Pre-MP(1.1K) : attachment work at the factory - 1st MP ~ : attachment work at the vender ALT and Inkel request to apply this adhesive at control run + Pre-MP(1.1K) Please let me know if you have any problems. also need to some discussion about attachment work from vender, I will make separately email. Thanks SON |

Hi SH, As mentioned in wechat, it seems that the drawing you provided doesn't meet the requirement of the factory. Due to the difficulty of removing paper tape and plastic tape, we commend designing plastic and paper tape larger than double-sided tape to make it easier to remove them. Please refer to the DFM report provided by our factory, and ask INKEL to improve the adhesive tape design asap for us. In addition, due to the difficulty of assembly, we request INKEL to paste it and deliver to Fii for MP (control run+pre-MP(1.1K) + 1st MP...) Please check it and let us know if there is any questions. Thanks, Regards, Sean |

Hi Dennis, Sheila Tu Here is speaker cable - left channel drawing. thanks SON |
Hi SH, According to your comment on page. 3, "If the cable twist less than 3, please twist more when final assembly". However, if it's twised by hand, no one can ensure the twise angle. Comparing the length "150~160mm" and "twist more than 4 turns", could you let us know which one is the key item? |
Hi Sheila correct the typo and update the drawing also, I added SOP for your reference. Thanks SON |
Hi SH, It's twisted by hand so it's imposseble to control the twist angle. However, the twist angle is the variable to the cable length. For example, if the imcoming cable twist is 2 turns only, OP follow your instruct to twist one more as 3 turns but the cable length become to 145mm. Our IPQC shall judge it as failure or pass? If your pass criteria is 155+/-5mm, I'd like to suggest you to remove the requirement, "twis more than 3 turns" so that it will make the rework process easier. |
Hi Ms. Sheila Tu, Mr. Sean Chiang and Mr. Dennis Lu, We discussed before about it. 1. We asked not to check No. of Turns in your IQC. 2. FII think that you cannot check the no. of turns of SPK cable. So we guided the length instead of no. of turns. And FII accepted it. We guided 160mm +- 5mm but, it changed 155mm +- 5mm yesterday. And Mr. SH Son guided it with the picture. It discussed before. And it was already finalized. Do you have any concerns ? |
Hi Sheila I update the L-CH cable spec for more easy process. see below Swan soundbar Speaker cable drawings for control run + Pre-MP + MP(~15K)_v3.pdf And speaker cable approval sheet is below be sure the effectivity each cable. effectivity : pre-MP 210825_SPEC_4AI20-CMXX05_REV02 effectivity : After 15K production 210825_SPEC_4AI20-CMXX04_REV03 |
Hi SH 1. Do you mean that the spec of R-CH cable, 4AI20-CMXX05, also need to be changed? If yes, may I have your help to descript the item of spec change? 2. As my explanation, IQC could waive the cable length or twist turn based on your requirement. Suggest that ALT approve Fii to change the spec of L-CH cable, 4AI20-CMXX04, from now on so that we can help the manufacturer to do the thing easier. If you have other concerns, please feel free to let us know. |
Hi Sheila 1. 4AI20-CMXX05 spec is same. it's just update the drawing tolerance typo. 2. ALT is already request - the IQC waive the cable length or twist turn. - touchup the cable length as I guided when the assembly process, what is FII Suggest change the spec of L-CH cable, 4AI20-CMXX04,? please attached file or drawings. Thanks SON |
Hi SH, 1. OK, we will update the spec in our system from now on for R-CH cable, 4AI20-CMXX05. 2. I mean we can update the spec for L-CH cable, 4AI20-CMXX04 from now on too because ALT already issue the waiver for our IQC to waive the cable length and twist turn. |
Hi SH, Jim told me that you are asking Fii P/N for holder tape. From our point of view, because this kind of additional rework job is limited to pre-MP 1.1K only, we won't apply internal P/N. Once our factory accepts the SOP that you suggested, please deliver the tapes as free sample, including spare q'ty, to our factory. We will run the internal application for this one-time working. |
Hi Shelia if there is No Fii P/N for holder tape, VN factory can't receive materials and also it may happen holder tape will missing or can not be found where is the holder tape this kind of ridiculous issue ( like last time FFC cable missing, FFC cable have P/N # but still missing ) Also if the sample Q'ty is quite huge, when VN Custom require to do the Customs clearance, how do you fix this kind of problem? Since this product doesn't have any Fii P/N# can not be defined for any product used materials. can you take responsibility for that if there have any unexpected issues? if this part becomes a gating item of the starting date of production? |
Hi Sophie, I've explained that we will run the internal application for this one-time working without Fii P/N and please deliver the tape as free sample. Besides, please be noted one key. The owner who shall paste this kind of tape on the holder is not Fii. If you have such concerns on this, please dispatch Inkel OP and ask them to bring the tape to do the additional rework in our production line. |
Hi Shelia, No one can bring any materials without Customs clearance or security check into Foxconn factory no matter located in which country..... not mention about bring any materials out of Foxconn factory........ Do you ever get into Foxconn factory and work there before?! In meeting, you keep saying need to follow the rules of factory regulations, but what you are saying right now is complete no sense talking of it. WE NEED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS NOT CREATING PROBLEMS~~ |
Hi Sophie, OK, to follow the rule, please ask Inkel to paste the tape and deliver the holder with tape. THE ONE WHO IS CREATING THE PROBLEMS IS NOT FII~~~ |
Hi Shelia, As we discuss many times, for the 1.1k is too late for doing it and also we need to define which party should do the paste tape stuff is better for the whole product quality and stability....this design is not good enough we know but in CUSTOMER standpoint of view, we would like the Foxconn group which is 1st ODM/OEM factory to handle this kind of process, this does not only benefit to whole product quality & stability but also benefit for the factory that they can do this such kind of meticulous work, not just simple assembly work. if factory skill is level up, Fii can get more business of high-end level product to production. |
